A friend is one who strengthens you with prayers, blesses you with love and encourages you with hope."

There is a miracle called Friendship
that dwells within the heart
and you don't know how it happens
or when it even starts.

But the happiness it brings you
always gives a special lift
and you realize that Friendship
is one of God's most precious gifts.

Last week we recieved a wonderful gift from our friends at Plano Bible Chapel...a beautiful quilt, hand made by  the "quilter" of the group...(Liz Bushong)...others had  contributed a "square" with a  hand written (or hand-sewen) message for us !!!   The timing for recieving this gift could not have been better....God's timing.

These pictures do not do it justice...

  1. This is the most amazing and thoughtful gift I have EVER seen. I am touched beyond measure that you and Bob can be covered with so much love, joy and peace by so many loving hands. It has set my day on a good foot to know it. Amazing, so wonderful to know you are so dearly loved.

  2. WOW, all I can say is that is a gift beyond gifts -it proves the verse Luke 6:38 "Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure-- pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure you gave it will be measured to you in return."
It is truly beautiful and it will look great in your new home soon!
    Love you, Lorie

  3. I just cried as I read these sweet notes from your friends at Plano Bible Fellowship. I hate that your last memories of being in Texas are having cancer. I don't really feel like you and dad got to tell your friends at church goodbye. That church was such an integral part of your lives for so many years. I love and miss you both and can't wait to see you on Saturday. Laura

  4. A dear friend of mine is home, living with cancer, she has given me such inspiration to keep living, to never give up and every good deed that I do for her, gives me that much more hope for her. It is so good to do for others.
What a lovely tribute and a quilt stitched with love.

Thanks for your comments..I enjoy receiving them..
