"If one should give me a dish of sand, and tell me there were particles of iron in it, I might look for them with my eyes, and search for them with my clumsy fingers, and be unable to detect them; but let me take a magnet and sweep through it; and my, how it draw to itself the almost invisible particles by the mere power of attraction! The unthinking heart, like my finger in the sand, discovers no mercies; but let the thankful heart sweep through the day, and as the magnet finds the iron, so it will find, in every hour, some heavenly blessings. -- Henry Ward Beecher"
"To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow."...
today I planted a flower..in fact, I planted several flowers...
my beautiful purple petunia's died ??? and most of the marigolds ??? so I've started over...the plumbago is hardy, drought resistant, loves the sun and blooms all season...as well as the lantana and bougainvillea (in hanging baskets)..
I was sitting at my computer desk and looked out the window in time to see a red bird perched in the planter beside the pink vinca....'took off before I could get a picture...
What a lovely thought for the day! We find the good things in each day don't we? I love you and daddy. Blessings
