Lucy Girl

Ever since we sold our home Lucy has lived at Eddies...she's the "backyard-backporch" dog...Jack is Eddie's little "house" dog... Yesterday I brushed her ever-shedding hair, gave her a flea bath and brought her over for a visit...she is the sweetest, most loving, outgoing dog we've ever had...if you sit down she's all over you...licking and nuzzling..I'm not the only one around here that loves Bob..Here he was trying to rest up from an 80 min. stint in the MRI tube...

Get ready...I'm gonna get ya...

And my Bob hasn't said one word of dismay...not that he doesn't love flowers also...he enjoys them as much as I...he's just much less of a spendthrift :)

How To Hug A Baby

1. First, uh, find a baby

2. Second, be sure that the object you found was
indeed a baby by employing classic sniffing techniques.

3. Next you will need to flatten the baby before actually beginning the hugging process

4. The 'paw slide' Simply slide paws around baby and prepare for possible close-up.

Finally, if a camera is present, you will need to execute
The difficult and patented
'hug, smile, and lean' so as to achieve the best photo quality.

My Three Girls

My three girls are together for the next three and-a-half days...Alabama daughter (Barbara) along with her friend Lori and Texas daughter (Laura) braved the stormy weather and flew to Chicago Friday...their flight took two hours longer than planned because of weather...Laura flew from Dallas and was scheduled to change planes in Kansas City but the weather was not cooperating...they had to divert to Little Rock and wait it out. The Alabama girls were going from Nashville to Chicago direct but their flight was held up for two hours before leaving Nashville....glad they hadn't already taken off and forced to diverted somewhere else (like Laura did)...'cause Barbara is not fond of flying...putting it mildly....she's unable to step on an airplane without some medical assistance.. :)
They're having a really nice time... Laura has been unable to get up there for several years...Barbara and Lauri were there a couple of years ago...but I can't find the pictures...somebody help me out...what year was that?

I received this encouragement from our dear friend Lori...James (the brother of Jesus) is also one of Bob's favorite books of the New Testament.

James 1:
Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.
Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.
But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.
That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; He is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.
The brother in humble circumstances ought to take pride in his high position.
But the one who is rich should take pride in his low position, because he will pass away like a wild flower.
For the sun rises with scorching heat and withers the plant; its blossom falls and its beauty is destroyed. In the same way, the rich man will fade away even while he goes about his business.
Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

Gods Perfect Timing

I was at my computer researching lymphoma after receiving a call from my husbands doctor relaying not such good news...switched over to my blog and saw this post update from a blog I follow...http://jodyferlaak.blogspot.com/
She wrote...
"Maybe you need to hear this too...
I turned on the radio for about 30 seconds today and this is, in part, what I heard in that short amount of time...
"There is a Power in this world that's bigger than the circumstances you walk in."

Thank you Jody for reminding me..
